Now onto the ladies. Making her debut on the platform, was Steph Dekker from Fortius Scotland in Cambuslang. Steph is well known in the Cross Fit world, and it’s clear that the hard work she has put in for that, has transferred across to powerlifting.
Coming in bang on weight, Steph took the best female lifter trophy with a 150kg squat, 92.5kg bench and 170kg deadlift, giving her a 412.5kg, and an impressive 443.01 Wilks, not to mention, Steph’s bench, deadlift and total are new Scottish Open Records.

Lastly, a shout out to the lifters that went 9 for 9 – Johanna Platt, Connie McCallen and Robert McMillan.
All in all a great competition, and as usual a huge thanks to the people that makes it possible – the table team, referees, spotters, loaders and everyone else who helps out behind the scenes. Without you, SP could not function.
