The entry for Scottish Powerlifting’s first competition of 2017 will be opening very shortly and this is a wee heads up as to the format of the 3 District Competitions.
The district competitions are split on a geographic basis using POST CODES to allocate Members in to 3 divisions.
This is a fairly simple process and should ensure that everybody gets a fair crack at an early competition.
For example: if you live in in Glasgow you will have a postcode G and therefore can enter in the West District Comp.
The districts and post codes are:
East – AB, DD, EH, FK, KY, PH, TD – 18th February 2017 – Raw Anatomy Gym Glenrothes.
Entry opens 24th December 2016
North – HS, KW, IV, ZE – 26th February 2017 – Gym 300, Inverness
Entry opens 1st January 2017
West – DG, G, KA, ML, PA – 5th March 2017 – Ravenscraig Sports Facility, Motherwell
Entry opens 8th January 2017
The District Competitions will be capped to reflect the venue capacity.
The proposed caps would be North – 40, West – 50, East – 50
These are Divisional Competitions – NOT Scottish National Championships and as such Scottish records can be set, but not GB records.
The District Competition entry will open as usual 8 weeks before the Competition.
If the Competition does NOT reach its cap 4 weeks after the entry opens, then places will be available to Members who for whatever reason could not make the date of their District Competition.
You must be a MEMBER to enter a Competition so please get your Membership in ASAP
