The IPF have now clarified the status of the first IPF World University Cup to be held in Minsk, Belarus in July this year.
- The World University Cup is not an IPF Championship for University and College Students, but a World University & Colleges Team Competition held under the auspices of IPF.
- Entry is for University and College TEAMS only, no individual entries will be accepted. University and Colleges wishing to enter can submit individual Teams comprising of up to 7 Women and up to 8 Men for consideration by GBPF to be entered in the Competition. The Entry Criteria for Students wishing to enter is that they are aged 17 – 28 years and have accredited University and College Student status. There is now no requirement that Students have UK National status.
GBPF will select 3 Women’s Teams and 3 Men’s Teams from the results of the British University Competition and our Scottish University and Colleges Championship on April 3rd at the Ardler, Dundee. Selection will be based on the total aggregate Wilks scores for each individual Team. Scottish Powerlifting will submit the nominated Team Lists for each Scottish University or College wishing to have Teams considered, along with the Championship results
